So we'll pretend that my first entry of the year wasn't in March. After all, there's not been a lot going on until recently.
I'm pretty much avoiding homework by writing this, really. I started at Ohio State this quarter - double major in Anthropology and History. Technically, my first quarter is 'Exploring', but I've already declared my majors for Summer because I'm just damn well crazy like that.
Currently, I'm carrying 21 credit hours out of a maximum of 23. I feel like I should just be giving my bank account password to the school now. I've already had to buy...let's see... 11 textbooks, and I have two more that I didn't have to pay for.
My room is flooding with text.
Schedule:
Monday:
11.30 - 12.18 Classics 222: Greek And Roman Classic Mythology (5 credit hours) (AKA Who's Doing Who In 222. :D)
12.30 - 02.18 Anthropology 201: World Pre-History (5 credit hours)
Tuesday:
09.30 - 11.18 English 110.01: The Rhetoric Of Social, Cultural, And Political Satire (5 credit hours)
11.30 - 12.18 Classics 222
01.30 - 03.18 History 326: History Of Modern Sexuality (5 credit hours)
Wednesday:
10.30 - 11.18 Classics 222 Recitation
11.30 - 12.18 Classics 222 (actual class)
12.30 - 02.18 Anthropology 201
Thursday:
09.30 - 11.18 English 110 (in a different building from Tuesday...)
01.30 - 03.18 History 326
Friday
11.30 - 12.18 Classics 222 (only applicable when there's an exam, otherwise I have no Friday classes.)
Also, I have a Freshman Survey Class to complete, but luckily I get to take that one online. It's just one credit hour, and is required. Yay.
So I think I'm going slightly mad.
And I cut my hair.

Perhaps 'going' isn't the right word for it.

Hm, I probably should update this thing every once in a while.
Seeing as it's been about three months, almost to the day. So, let's see.
• Graduated high school with some sort of honour.
• Got rained on during graduation ceremony.
• Got yelled at after graduation ceremony for yelling on stage during ceremony. What can I say.
• Lost a close friend because of a stupid remark on my behalf.
• Turned 18.
• Got my lip pierced as a gift from a friend.
• Almost got to see INXS in concert, but the show got cancelled. :(
• Applied to Uni. of Sydney, Uni. of Melbourne, and OSU.
• Had a talk with Wilson, both of us broke down, and therefore, I am refusing offers to those first two universities, even though it pains me to do so.
• Wrote almost 30,000 words in the past few months. It's not a lot, but it's better than I usually do.
• Went to see a bunch of concerts in an attempt to find new music.
• Later decided it was just easier to trade mix cds with people to discover new music.
• Almost lost mum four days ago. She went comatose and was admitted to the hospital. Turned out she hadn't eaten or had anything to drink in a few days. Really need to bitch at the nursing home about that one.
• Got a work cleaning houses with my dad's girlfriend. 8 hours a day, 7 days a week. $15 an hour though.
• Became Guitar Hero master. Not really, but a girl can dream.
• Pretended to hang self at a friend's graduation party out of boredom.
• Spent far too much money on really trivial things.
• Finally got own library cards. Of course, I've already got an $11 fine on one of them. Now know why my dad never let me have one.
• Finally decided to practice guitar. I still haven't mastered chords. Starting to think I'm guitar-retarded. Perhaps I'll pick up bass.
• Read far too much and far too often.
• Coated room in music memorabilia.
I've been dealing with some crazy people in the past few days. Allow me to share, if you will, a chatlog of sorts. Okay, it's just a chatlog. I'm not directly involved, but everyone there is sort of a friend. Names have been changed to protect the really fucking stupid.
( Some people work it out with therapy, but if you ain't got the money, denial works for me. )
Summary of the summary of the chatlog:
Boy: I'm a fucking idiot. Ignore me and everything I ever say.
Girl: I wrote this thing. http://blutige-liebe.livejournal.com/214 45.html
How do I meet such crazy people? And how have I not added "- Killed two people for being idiots" to my list yet?
Besides that, I'm thinking of writing a case study on the two of them for my NaNo this year. I have no other creative ideas after all.
Oh! And did everyone hear about J.Mo and Jesse? :(

T minus 11 days 'til high school graduation. Throw me in the 'stressed' pile, and all will be well.
Life's been interesting, and that's why I've been avoiding here, I guess.
Spent this past weekend going to concerts. Morrissey and www.rockontherange.com/lineup.html
That's my life, really.
Managed to hit the pause button and chop my hair up though, so that was fun.

How's everyone been holding up? Life treating you all okay, I hope?

This is a quite lame update, since it's got to do with the weather, but still!
School's been cancelled, and probably will be for the next several days.
It is approximately -21° (F) outside.
...
This is unforgivable. Weather, why have you forsaken us so?
Yes, it's winter. No, winter's not supposed to be this cold. Perhaps it's time for me to migrate south. :\

Being the kind-hearted person I am, when a friend came to me and asked if I could edit a couple of short papers for her...I said yes.
I need a time machine right now so I can go back and kick my own ass. Saying 'yes' was one of the stupidest things I've ever done. Even stupider than the time I jumped off a friend's roof into her swimming pool - and that's hard to top.
But yes. I said yes, and she e-mailed me three papers. This was at about six this morning. I've only finished one. There is no way I can stare at this shit for more than five minutes before my retinas start to bleed.
How does someone get to age 16 and not have any concept of the English language. I mean, hell, this is America, but still. She goes to a good school, and she got a Catholic education until she was 15. Maybe that explains it. Who knows?
Either way, this makes me want to walk over to her house and revoke her hand privileges. I would if it wasn't -2 degrees out.
So, for your amusement, I present the edited version of 'Kitsune'. This is the one that needed the most help of all of them. Admittingly, the others were only a page each.
( Kitsune is a Japanese myth that is known for many things... )
I think I'm going to upload music to soothe my nerves. That's sad when that's how I have to soothe my nerves. Oh dear.

As Thanksgiving draws to a close...
I'm quite thankful for all my family, friends, and every other cliche thing that goes on this list.
I'm also thankful for:
...those who write what comes from their soul rather than what they find on the internet.
...those who inspire others.
...those who live each day as fully as they can.
...those who try.
...those who succeed, and those who fail.
...those who never give up no matter what life throws at them.
...those who love and allow themselves to be loved in return.
...those who reach out and care.
...those who have enough passion to learn.
...those who have passion in anything.
...everything.
...those who we see everyday, yet pay no attention to.
...those who we hold close to our hearts, and never let them go.
...those who refuse to let the 'fads' take over their life.
...those who know what they want in life.
...those who have no idea what they want.
...those who live.
...those who have died.
...those who, no matter what, are thankful for you just as much as you're thankful for them.
I love you guys. Know that.

Oh dear, I have some special friends.
The job I worked last year has hired this one friend of mine. She's a little worked up about it, so I've been messaging her trying to calm her down.
Now I'm the person who has the least right to bitch Americans out for using British slang - but when you do it wrong, my wrath is revealed.
In full force.
My message:
"Your co-worker's Gabe and he's a right fine bloke. The only thing you've to worry about is the customers.
People are idiots, but then again, I'm sure you know that."
Her response:
"Sadly I've always known people are blokes so."
Yes, people are guys. Good observation there, genius.
*sighs* I'm just a little nitpicky today. Perhaps it's because I have no voice.
